The beginnings- Minecraft is currently an online game. Marcus Persson who created a game back in 2009, at the time it was called “Cave Game” which is now called Minecraft. This was released on the PC and was attractive to people who liked to code and design gaming worlds. What made the game so unique is that it was also a resource management simulation. It allowed players to gather the resources they needed to create, so the creations meant more to them since they had to build them with parts they had collected on their own. Before the end of 2009, several modes had been added to Minecraft. They include 5 modes Survival, Creative, Adventure, Spectator and Hardcore. At this point, the game was still in its alpha stages which means the game it’s not finished, they are still adding new stuff and testing it. Now in 2019 the game has had huge success.
Biomes(community of flora and fauna, forest or tundra.)- The game has about 60 biomes, that are based in lush, snowy, cold, dry and ocean. When you travel through the Minecraft world you will be able to find different environments, many of them similar to those that can be found here on planet Earth. It’s useful to understand biomes in Minecraft, especially if you are playing survival mode because it helps you see what place has what you need to build what you want. On September 17, 2019, the game came up with a survey asking people what biome they wanted to update. According to Minecraft, the winner of the biome update was announced in the “Minecon”, the Minecraft convention, on September 28, 2019. So according to the Minecon, the winner is the Mountain biome. The update consists of adding a new mob(animals) like goats, they will be making the biome look more “snowier” which means they will make it more realistic. There will also be adding three biomes, soulsand valley, netherwart forest red, and the netherwart forest blue. Minecraft players are waiting for new upcoming biome updates.
