This year’s Santa Ana high school ASB group is brimming with anticipation and excitement. There are many new seniors and underclassmen that have joined ASB this school year.

Manuel Barajas is one of the excited seniors leading ASB. “To be honest this year has just started and I feel like it’s off to a great start” Barajas said. Manny continued to say “ My peers and I are having a blast this year”. So far Santa Ana’s ASB seems to have great chemistry and getting along great. Many of the them have stated on multiple occasions that they want to work hard and make it a great year for the students of Santa Ana High school. “ We want to make this year a memorable one,” continued Manuel Barajas. In years past Santa Ana High school’s ASB has had memorable highs and lows in its relationship with the students.

ASB knows they can be criticized for putting on a poor assembly or pep rallies. Therefore there is a lot of pressure on this years ASB to put on great events and activities. This year’s senior class, the class of 2020, has voiced its expectations for a great year loudly. The ASB has been criticized in the past for many things. Among those criticisms, is the music at lunch. One anonymous student said “ They treat the speaker like their personal radio, they switch to different songs in the middle of songs, they go back to previous ones, they will play the beginning of one song and then switch to another one”. Some senior classes in the past have complained about the lack of communication between ASB and the students. “They did not listen to our suggestions for dances” one anonymous alumnus of Santa Ana stated. ASB has a confident and positive outlook on this year though. They are looking to make this year a memorable experience at Santa Ana High school. “ It shall be one for the books” said Manuel Barajas.
