Job Fair offers students insight, opportunity

Orange County held a job fair on Feb. 16 at Saddleback High school The event was available to anyone 16 years and older, with a number of Santa Ana High School students in attendance.

The job fair had many opportunities for students to discover new career paths, discover new jobs, and even chances for on-site interviews. They even offered professional headshots to those who were interested.

A few of the jobs they had to offer ranged from working with Marines and Army , to aquatic jobs, to SAUSD and the City of Santa Ana, and much more. There was a huge range of job opportunities for everyone to explore.

Upon entering the event, they were handing out tickets to enter a raffle to win some prizes including iPads, bicycles, and much more.

Transportation to and from the event was provided for students, who were also given free lunch to enjoy while they explored around.

A few Santa Ana High Film students were there covering the event and interviewing different employers.

“I felt the job fair was beneficial for me as it allowed me to see the opportunities that are available right in front of me on desk applications and all,” senior Ismael Piedra said.

The event was super successful as every booth was flooded with crowds of people. Employers even went out of their way to reach out in the crowd to promote their booth.
