Dance show set for this week
Santa Ana High’s dance program is set to present its annual dance concert, taking place Thursday and Friday, March 23-24 at Bill Medley Auditorium.
Showtimes are scheduled for 7 p.m. Presale tickets are $8, and will go up to $10 at the door.
The beginning, intermediate, and advanced students will all perform and showcase their dancing abilities, hard work and what they’ve learned throughout the year — including persistence, new skills and choreography — from Mrs. Hermann and Ms. Roberto.
The team began practicing in January and has worked toward the performances over the last two months. While some students see dancing as a hobby, others are considering it as a career option and are enjoying the experience.
Roberto said that choosing dance as a future career will “not be easy,” but regardless, the students do their best while developing friendships and learning how to work as a team.
Dance team member Gabriela Romero agreed, saying “I’ve met so many new people.”
After months of practice, the team is finishing up before they perform and the show is almost ready. Tickets are available now from Hermann, Roberto, or any dance team member.
