Santa Ana High School’s Fall Sports Pep Rally took place in the big gym Friday, aiming to excite students about upcoming sports and school events. The theme of the pep rally was ‘Night At The Disco’ and people participated by wearing glow-in-the-dark attire.
In Pep Rally tradition, the different classes were announced first so each grade level group could cheer for its own. The Color Guard opened the event with a performance and a large outpour of excitement came from the crowd.
Cheer, Dance Team, NJROTC, and Song Pom each had their own performances in front of the cheering crowd as well.
All the Fall sports were introduced throughout the rally as girls tennis, girls volleyball, boys water polo, and football each had their own chants.
Folklorico concluded the event with a dance performance, leaving the crowd in shock as they began dancing while balancing bottles on their heads, trying to not drop them
“I feel like the performers had a good opportunity to share what they have with the rest of the school and hopefully the school enjoyed it,” ASB adviser and English teacher Kamdon Bailey said.
“It was super fun and exciting,” senior Jan Sanchez said, with junior JJ Salinas-Jacobo adding “It brings entertainment and motivation.”
